In Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, the money inside a Metrobank Tuguegarao branch was scattered inside the room when the police officers arrived around 8 in the evening on a Tuesday night.
According to the reports, the bank was robbed by five men who pretended that they are police officers.
According to Supt.
The robbery took more than 5 minutes until the vigilante group escaped riding a white van.
“Kung titignan mo how they wear the uniform, hindi talaga sila pulis.
The two guards on duty had to undergo a polygraph test and the investigators are not setting aside the angle that it was an inside job.
“Nataon nga na nagbibilangan ng pera tapos ganung oras na bakit pa binuksan nitong gwardiya, so hindi natin tinatanggal yung possibility na inside job ito whether sa part ng gwardiya or sa isang empleyado,” Cablarda said.
Nothing happened to the employees of the bank and they are already working with the authorities to capture the suspects of the incident. The police officers who are handling the case will make sure that the suspects will be paying the price of their crimes.
