Our country is facing some troublesome times. The Filipinos are divided now more than ever, and there is an atmosphere of fear, confusion, and paranoia everywhere.

When the people cannot trust it’s government anymore, when its programs aren’t designed to alleviate the poor but rather to serve the interests of the few, when a revolution is brewing, there’s no other way to get the government’s attention but by scaring it.

Of course, it is hard to plant fear in the government since they can control almost everything in a certain country where they lead. But if a person knows how to think ingeniously, all it takes is a little head, literally.

It seems that the game has been shifted to trolling. Since people cannot take each other seriously anymore, trolling has been the primary means for people to get attention.

Just like what happened recently in Metro Manila that really garnered a lot of attention.

Citizens of a certain barangay in Metro Manila were shocked when they found out that there is a woman’s body lying around somewhere. News traveled fast and soon enough crowds have gathered. The whole town is horrified and was afraid who among the vigilantes would have done this unthinkable crime.

When the police arrived, they immediately put a perimeter around the area and interviewed some of the eyewitnesses, who also didn’t know who put the body there.

When the police retrieved the body, they were dismayed to find out that the body was not real but rather a mannequin.

Netizens who read about the news find it hilarious that the police cannot even recognize a fake body on the onset. They were also curious as to who puts the body in there.

Furthermore, they say that this is just a manifestation of how inefficient our police force is and how ineffective they are in resolving cases.

At the end of the day, when trolling is rampant, the police force should top up their game if they want to avoid setups and waste time and effort on planted cases. There are graver cases that need their attention and they should learn to use their resources wisely or else they would just be running around in endless circles.
